Kingdom Expansion Weekend
April 6-7, 2019 was a mighty weekend of Kingdom expansion in the Congregational Holiness Church. The weekend began on Saturday with the addition of Midway Community Congregational Holiness Church. Midway Community is located in Honoraville, Alabama and was chartered into the South Alabama District. The South Alabama Presbytery, South Alabama District Department leaders, Mission USA Administrator, and many Midway Community charter members were present at the dedication service. The powerful sweet presence of God’s Spirit swept through the sanctuary as the service began with praise and worship. District Superintendent Doug Whaley addressed and greeted all who were present. Pastor Judy Dyson gave a powerful message of commitment and promises from the Word of God. The congregation was led in observing Holy Communion by the Assistant District Secretary Stewart Smith. Then, District Secretary Mark Pate, read the Articles of Faith to the congregation. The charter dedication and charge were led by Mission USA Administrator Matthew Turner. Midway Community is pastored Rev. Shari Miniard who has a great burden for her church family and community.
Saturday also saw the addition of a Hispanic congregation to the district of Virginia. Evangelica Pentecostes Bet-El joined the Virginia District led by Pastor Ana Hernandez. Bishop Charles Hanson was present, along with many of the district leadership members, to welcome Pastor Ana and her congregation into the Virginia District. Mark Boyd, Virginia District Secretary, wrote of the event, “The Virginia District is a part of the movement of God. Revival is here, it is not coming, it is here. The Holy Ghost is breaking down walls of culture, national origin, and race. We in the Virginia district are a people of God as one family united in Christ.”
Sunday saw the re-launch of Rutherfordton Congregational Holiness Church in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. After several months of closure, the Lord led Pastor Terry Ware to see the church resurrected. With the Lord’s help and the help of many area churches, Rutherfordton CHC held its first service on April 7, 2019. Bishop Charles Hanson was in attendance to welcome Pastor Terry and congregation into the Congregational Holiness Church.
To God be the Glory for all He has done!
