VBS Changes Lives
Thirteen people gave their lives to Christ during the week of June 26-30 at Jubilee Christian Fellowship in Montgomery, AL. The church held a Vacation Bible School Wednesday through Friday where twelve students gave professed Jesus as their Savior. The Jubilee church family worked hard preparing for the evangelism event with members of the church decorating, set design, lesson plans, meals, games, and door to door visitation. While they worked hard to be physically prepared, they also spent time in prayer to be spiritually ready to minister to the students who would be in attendance. Pastor Mark Pate said, “The church had a special prayer service for the event the previous Sunday night.” As a result of their hard work advertising and inviting people and students in their community, there were a total of 22 students in attendance as well as church workers. Twelve kids accepted Jesus Christ on Friday night. After the VBS was over, one lady came down to the altar the following Sunday and gave her heart to Jesus, making the total number of lives changed in one week to increase to thirteen. Pastor Mark said, “We give God all the glory.” A believers baptism service will follow in July.
